how to play
the goal is to calculate the discount amount in your head. pick the correct dollar amount from the two options provided.
the easy trick:
- find 10% of the price by moving the decimal point one space to the left.
- multiply that result by the percentage multiplier (e.g., for 20%, multiply by 2).
examples:
example 1: 20% of $50 CAD
10% of $50 is $5. Since you need 20%, multiply $5 by 2, which gives you $10.
example 2: 30% of $40 CAD
10% of $40 is $4. Since you need 30%, multiply $4 by 3, which gives you $12.
